Clearpen collects minimal data. When you use the editor, your documents are stored only in your browser's local storage — they never leave your device unless you choose to export them.
When you join the waitlist, we collect your name, email address, and plan interest. This data is handled by Formspree and used only to notify you about Clearpen launches.
When you use the AI Tone Refinement feature, the selected text is sent to our server and forwarded to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this data. Text is processed in real-time and not stored by Clearpen.
We use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics to understand how the product is used — page views, session duration, device types. No personal information is tied to these analytics.
